- How often should I check the condition of my transmission?
Every vehicle has its own specifications about the time or milage to get your transmission
checked. Please refer to your owners manual for maintenance schedule. At least once a year you should get your transmission checked for minor wear and tear before they cause a problem.

- Is the brand of transmission oil that I use important, or is there several kinds of oil that I
can use?
Once more, every vehicle has its own specifications about the type of oil that you use in your

- How long do I have to wait for checking my transmission at Bayside Transmission?
Our technicians at Bayside Transmission will check your transmission and other drive train
elements in your vehicle visually. The external check will indicate any fluid leaks and worn seals that might cause problems. Also we will perform a road test with your vehicle to diagnose the
problems that might be caused with internal structure.

- How often should I get my transmission fluid changed?
More accurate data is present in your Owners Manual but as a rule of thumb, most manufacturers
recommend to change your transmission fluid every 3 years / 36,000 miles. If your vehicle is older, the parts may be worn so we recommend a shorter period to change the transmission fluid for older
vehicles. If you are not sure what to do, please bring your vehicle to Bayside Transmission and we can perform a visual and road test to determine if your transmission fluid have to be changed.

- What should I expect to pay for a transmission repair at Bayside Transmission?
The cost of the repair depends on various factors, like the make and model of your vehicle, the
nature of the problem, the condition of your vehicle. We will have a visual diagnosis performed on your vehicle and perform a road test if your vehicle is in running condition When we find the source
of the problem we will either repair your vehicle if it is under the authorized price that you stated in your Order Form, or we will call you to discuss the problem. No repairs are performed if the

- What do I do if my vehicle is broken down?
If your vehicle is broken down, you can either get your vehicle towed to our location or call us
for a towing service. We work closely with Best Way Towing Inc. You can either call us or call Best Way Towing Directly at (757) 481-7100. If your vehicle is broken down after-hours, you can get your
vehicle towed to our location and download the Online Key Drop Form from our web site fill it out and either drop it with your keys or fax it to us at (757) 464
0150. The next business day in the morning, we will call you and further investigate and give you an estimate about the time and cost of the repair.
